If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a note to the story saying what changed and when. We do not quietly change facts.

How to ask for a correction

Email hello@gistmedia.org with the link to the story and what needs fixing. We aim to reply within two working days.

What we correct

Facts, figures, names, dates and quotes that are wrong or wrongly attributed. A story that turns out to be wrong in its main point is corrected at the top, or taken down with a note saying why.
