Editorial policy
How we report, check and correct what we publish.
What we cover
Celebrity, music, movies, sport, events and luxury, for an Indian audience with a global outlook. We don't publish stories about private individuals who aren't public figures, and we don't publish stories that identify minors.
How we check
Every story is based on sources we name at the end of the article: official statements, the event organisers, trade data, and reporting by established publications. When a claim comes from a single source or hasn't been confirmed, we say so in the story. Figures such as box-office numbers are labelled as estimates.
How stories are made
We use software, including AI tools, to monitor news, research and draft. Every story is reviewed and approved by a GIST editor before it is published, and the editor is responsible for it.
Paid content
Paid partnerships are labelled Paid partnership at the top of the story and on every card that links to it, in line with ASCI guidelines. Where GIST has a commercial interest in a subject — for example an artist available through GIST Talent, or an event offered through GIST Access — we say so in the story.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a note to the story saying what changed and when. Send corrections to gaurav@gistmedia.org with the link to the story.
Takedown requests
If you believe a story infringes your rights, write to our Grievance Officer, Pallavi Chhabra, at gaurav@gistmedia.org. See Grievance redressal.
